For the 2017 edition of the Cannes International Film Festival, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, Official Wine Supplier to the Festival since 1992, is proud to announce once again the opening of its praised Mouton Cadet Wine Bar.
From May 17 to 28, the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals will be the perfect setting for the cinema industry to meet at the occasion of the Festival’s 70th Anniversary. Entirely thought and conceived by Parisian decorator Mathias Kiss, the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar will be once more on everyone’s lips as “the place to be” to enjoy this year Mouton Cadet Limited Edition while admiring the dazzling views on Cannes Bay.
Almost admired spot of the Cannes Film Festival
Since 2010, the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar has been welcoming international directors, actors and public figures from the entire cinema world. Last year, while Woody Allen and Jesse Eisenberg enjoyed the serenity of the bar, Eva Longoria preferred the exclusiveness of the spot to organise her traditional charity gala dinner in favour The Global Gift Foundation and The Eva Longoria Foundation.



And it is during their interviews and press junkets that film directors Xavier Dolan, Nicole Garcia and Jonathan Jakubowicz enjoyed the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar’s decor and idyllic views with their casts. The Mouton Cadet Wine Bar welcomed in 2016 international talents such as Robert de Niro, Usher, Marion Cotillard, Léa Seydoux, … As well as the awaited appearance of the 2016 Festival Jury (Arnaud Desplechin, Kirsten Dunst, Valeria Golino, Mads Mikkelsen, László Nemes, Vanessa Paradis, Katayoon Shahabi and Donald Sutherland) and its president, Australian director George Miller, for the closure of the Festival.

In his quest for perfection, the artist-decorator Mathias Kiss will pursue his work initiated in 2016 on the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar, in creating a Palm Springs villa with French Art Deco influence, offering even more glamour, optical illusions and 180-degree amazing views, from the 6th floor of the Palais des Festivals.

This year again, the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar will be for visiting celebrities the preferred Cannes venue to discover its new collector bottle, the 2017 Cannes Mouton Cadet Limited Edition. In 2017, its design pays tribute to the 70th anniversary of the most glamourous film festival in the world. A collector item to be served during many exclusive events and official dinners of the Festival and to be found in selected markets around the world.
