Countdown has started as Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA confirms the opening of the most awaited Mouton Cadet Wine Bar during the 2016 Cannes International Film Festival, from May 11th to 22th. For the 25th anniversary of its partnership with the Cannes International Film Festival, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA has asked Parisian designer Mathias Kiss to revamp its most precious space on the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals. This year again, stars and wine lovers will be able to appreciate Mouton Cadet wines in a new collector bottle, in a unique atmosphere around “The French Art of Living” theme.
THE FRENCH ART OF LIVING : THE EXQUISITE SIGNATURE OF THE 2016 MOUTON CADET WINE BAR
Official Wine Supplier since 1992, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA celebrates 25 years of partnership with the Cannes International Film Festival by offering a new theme: “The French Art of Living”.
For that purpose, the rising star of design Mathias Kiss has been given full permission to express his talent on creating a stylish villa on the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals: from the room layout to the choice of furniture, not to mention the design of a tailored wine bar, nothing has been left to chance.
Looking at the essence of the Festival over the years – a sophisticated mix between timeless French Riviera aura and Hollywood glamour brought by 1950s’ American stars – the Parisian designer has integrated Palm Springs modern architecture with French Art Deco inspiration to lift the venue into a whole new atmosphere.
“Very enthusiastic about this project, it has been essential for me to perpetuate decorative codes and practices, in order to create a comfortable, yet glamourous nest, where architectural rigor connects with sweetness of life” Mathias Kiss.
THE MOUTON CADET WINE BAR: A STELLAR VENUE OFFERED TO THE STARS
During the 12 days of the Festival, Mouton Cadet Wine Bar will offer world cinema celebrities and wine lovers a cosy and intimate place, away from the Croisette’s turmoil, an exclusive place to work or relax while appreciating its wines. Its exceptional view on both the Mediterranean sea and the 69th Cannes International Film Festival makes it the most envied spot of the fortnight.
A NEW COLLECTOR ITEM: THE 2016 MOUTON CADET LIMITED EDITION CANNES
The Mouton Cadet Wine Bar cast would not be complete without a new limited edition for the Festival. Just like a movie star on the red carpet, the Mouton Cadet bottle has been dressed up to the nines to demonstrate its glamourous figure… and taste. This collector item will be served during many exclusive events and official dinners of the Festival, and will be distributed in selected countries around the world.
